International mission trips to Uganda, East Africa Short Term Mission .
Trip Participant Information. Trades of New hope is excited and delighted you have answered Gods call to share in the work we are doing in Uganda. This packet has been prepared to assist you in preparing for your trip and hopefully answer many of the questions you may have. Trip Coordinator Your first step in planning a trip to Uganda is to request a Mission Trip Coordinator (MTC) from Trades of New hope/partner organization. The MTC will be responsible for connecting you with the appropriate staff in Uganda. S/he will also help you through the paperwork and will schedule an orientation for you and your team in advance of departure. Even if you "know Friends of Trades of New hope people in Uganda" apart from Laban and his wife, it is important to plan your trip through the MTC in the U.S and Laban. Laban will work hand in hand with the USA team leader to provide more information. Please request your MTC from labanbiryomumeisho@yahoo.com or any other person in USA as designated. Estimated costs. Your mission trip leader will determine the actual cost for your trip. In the past, round-trip airfare from USA has run from $1,500-2000 per person, the team leader will let you know the exact cost on booking. In-country costs for accommodations, meals, transportation, tours and tips is figured at $100.00 per day per person. A Uganda one-time visa costs $50.00 at Entebbe airport. A Rwanda one-time visa costs $30.00 at Kigali airport. You can purchase an East African Tourist Visa which will allow you to travel between Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya for $100.00. so generally the total cost maybe $3000 for a group of (7-20 people) and $3500 (1-6 people) a 9day trip in southwestern Uganda. This includes air ticket and in-country costs. Tips are not compulsory for visitors, it's done at your own wish or will to our staff or other people providing you services.

COME AND SEE THE BEAUTY OF UGANDA AND EAST AFRICA
When it comes to seeing wildlife while on safari, this is wild nature and nothing can be guaranteed. You may see plenty of animals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant). But there will be game drives when you don’t see very much at all. That will make the sightings you do see all the more special. The joy of safaris, and what makes them so addictive, is that you just never know what you might see around the next corner. If you listen closely to, and learn from your guide, you’ll be able to enjoy all aspects of Africa’s wildlife. Everything from baobab trees to dung beetle, to birds and gorilla. Don’t forget to also focus on the birds, as even a very quiet game drive usually delivers some great bird sightings.”
